Summer learning journey week 4 day 5 activity 3.

Activity 3: Concluding the Journey [10 points]
Sadly, the Summer Learning Journey has now come to an end. It is time to reflect on everything that you have learned about the environment and, particularly, about how you can protect and preserve it.

On your blog please tell us:
  1. What is one thing that you learned from participating in the Summer Learning Journey programme this year? I have learnt to comment on other people's blog.
  2. What is one thing that surprised you?I was doing my Summer learning journey
  3. What is one thing that concerned or upset you? making promises week 4 day 4
  4. What is one thing that you (or your family) can do, moving forward, to help protect our natural environment?don't use plastic bag.

  1. Kia ora Michael,

Congratulations on completing the Summer Learning Journey! We have loved reading your blog posts this summer. One thing you could focus on is adding more detail into your blog posts.

What concerned you about the making promises activity?

Keep up the great blogging this year! I will see you in February when I come into St Pius :)

  2. Good afternoon Michael,

My name is Georgia and I am the Kaikohekohe (Northland) Cluster Manager. Sophie, the Manaiakalani Cluster Manager shared with me your work and I am so happy to see you have finished the programme already, ka pai!

That's wonderful that the SLJ has taught you how to comment on other people's blogs. If you have some spare time in the remainder of your holiday, you could make some positive, thoughtful and helpful comments on other bloggers work. Each comment of 3+ sentences will earn you an extra 2 points which can help you towards winning a prize pack at the end of the programme. You can find blog posts from students all around New Zealand here: https://sites.google.com/a/manaiakalani.org/connected-learners-share/sljtwitterfeeds

Well done on completing the Summer Learning Journey programme Michael! Did you have a favourite activity?

    Cheers,
    Georgia.

  3. Hi Michael

My name is Allie and I am the Cluster Manager for the Summer Learning Journey in Toki Pounamu which is on the West Coast of the South Island.

Congratulations for finishing all the activities this summer. I am sure that Sophie and her team will enjoy reading your posts.

Hopefully if everybody does their bit with using less plastic we can live in a cleaner environment. As we live in such a beautiful place.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and I hope you have something fun planned with you family.

    Well done

    Cheers

    Allie :)

  4. Kia Ora Michael,

I would like to join Georgia, Allie and Sophie in congratulating you on completing the Summer Learning Journey programme for 2018-2019. What an awesome accomplishment! We hope that you enjoyed the experience and that you learned a lot about the environment both here in New Zealand and overseas. If you would like to continue your learning and support others with their learning, please consider commenting on other people's blogs. Georgia has given you information about how to comment and about the extra points that you can earn. Please consider commenting with us over the next two weeks. There is lots of learning still to do and many points still to earn (should you want to)!

    Bye for now,

    Rachel :)
